PONSONBY DRUIDS.

The quarterly meeting of the Ponsonby Lodge of Druids was held last evening in St. George's Hall, Grey Lynn. There was a crowded attendance. Bro. Percy Greenhough, A.D.. presided. After the formal husl'iiess of the evening hnd taken place, a "coffee supper" tendered by Bro. Charles Blomlield, J.P.A.. took place. The following items were given:—Selection, Druids' String Band; comic song, Bro. E. Fort; recitation. "A Tale of Two Women," Bro. Yares:- long, Bro. A. Mewburn; song, "Mona," Bro. Bach: comic song, Bro. White; flute solo, Bro. Kernot; some:, "Dem Golden Slippers" (Blozown), Bro. W. Blomfleld (enpored); patriotic "selection, Druids' String Band; recitation, Bro. Yates: song, Bro. Fort; selection, Druids' String Band. It wns announced that the annual ball of the lodge would take place in St. : Benedict's Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) night. The grand march takes place nt 8.30.

Last evening St. John's Musical and Literary Society met in St. John's Schoolroom, the evening being devoted to the "Life and Works of John Ruskin." Papers and readings were given by Miss K. Bousklll, Messrs J. Horsley, J. Symons and Mortimer. A vocal solo was ably rendered by Miss B. Tonkin, and a pianoforte solo by Miss E. Thome.
