I AUSTRIAN MINISTER WOUNDED. DEPARTURE OF WALDERSEE. THE KAISER AND THE CZAR, (Received August 20, 8.35 a.m.) HONGKONG, August 19. The Allies found Dr. A. Rosethorn, acting-Minister for Austria, in Pekin slightly wounded. BERLlN,'August 19.
The German Emperor, addressing Count Waldersee and staff prior to their departure for China, said he rejoiced that the Czar had at the outset approved of the selection of Count Waldersee to the supreme command of the Allied Army, and had secured the confirmation of the world to the appointment. He added: "It ia my expectation this will bring a guarantee of mutual appreciation, so that what the Czar attempted in time of peace may be realised in time of war."
