COAX CONTRACTS.
SYDNEY, August 18
Contracts for the supply Of Newcastle coal to , New Zealand for next year are now being offered. Some pit owners refuse to have anything to. do with the business unless a rise-and-fall clause is inserted in the agreement. Others are disposed to take up the contracts on the basis of a . selling price of 10s per ton for the whole twelve months.
