SUPREME COURT.
His Honor Mr Justice Conolly, who returned here from- Gisborne yesterday, held a sitting in Bankruptcy, at the Supreme Court to-day. Orders of discharge were granted to Wra. Vereker Bindon. and Bernard. Montague (bankrupts), their, .applications being unopposed. Mr Basley appeared for, Bindon and Mr Wilson Smith for Montague.y ..,.'. '!,", '•," ••-.', ■• • , r.. An "application by, Win.. .Andrew Young, a/bankrupt, for order of discharge, was opposed by Wm. Andrew McCullough,vtailor, a creditor. Air. J. O'Meagher appeared for the bankrupt who gave evidence, and was crossexamined by the opposing creditor. McCullbugh and; another, witrftss also gave evidence. It appeared that the liability arose in connection'with a shipment of oysters to.Sydney. After hearing the evidence.His Honor said it appeared to him that no case Whatever had been made out for opposing: the discharge?. "The. affair, was. a trumpery onfe in'the^beginning, and there was no dishonesty apparent on the part of the bankrupt.' The order of discharge was granted. , • .
