WEIGHT-LIFTING.
(To" the Editor.)
s*r-Having seen your report re Samson v. Newton in to-night's "Star," I wish as an unprejudiced spectator, to' say that It was wholly unfair for the competition to have been awarded to Newton, as when Newton led off Samson succeeded in some of his feats, and others he did. not, but when the latter led Newton was unable to follow suit except in one, and that he did not entirely succeed in, being unable to hold the weight out at arm's length. By kindly Inserting the' above y6u will oblige the audience generally.-I am, etc., A LOVER OF FAIR PLAY. Augustit .-• >: , ■
