The Victoria Amateur Turf Cluo inaugurated their Grand National Meeting to-dny. Tlie following was the result of the prin-

cipsil event:—

THE CAULFIELD GRAND "NATIONAL HURDLE RACE, a handicap of loOOsovs, TOOsovs to go to first horse; second, 200 soys; third, lOOsovs. Three miles and ahaif, less 92 yards. Mr J. J. Hassall's oh g Delusion, syrs, by Pacific—Mirage, 10.5 (Chevally) .... 3 Eighteen horses started. Betting: G to 1 against Aquarius, 10 to 1 Redeemer, 14 to 1 Delusion. Accumulator and Aquarius made the running In the earliest stages of the race. Delusion looked a winner at the last hurdle, but Redeemer came wth a lnte run, and won by a length and a-half.
