A fire in North-East Valley this morning destroyed Parker's unnfry, and also two cottages adjoining, occu- j pied by Parker and Clough. The fire ', is supposed to have originated through live ashes being blown by a high wind ! i On to the leather curing floor. The insurances are as follows:—Parker, on i tannery and stock, £1260, and new.' building £500, divided between National, Standard, Victoria, Alliance, Australian Alliance, and North Brit- I ish; £400 on old building in Soirth : British; £150 on Parker's furniturt, \\ divided among the same offices, and" ■ on house £200 in the South Brjtiuh,Clough's furniture was insured for;1 £50 in the Victoria and £ 100 in t)ii* Manchester.
