THE SHAREMARKET.
Northern Boot shares changed hands to-day at 10/, with buyers still offering 9/6. D.S.C. shares had demand at 7/9, but sellers did not quote. Leyland & O'Brien timber shares were enquired for at 27/, but no sales resulted. Other standard stocks were unaltered. Mining shares had slightly better enquiry on the average, but the only transaction reported was m Komata Reefs at 1/11. Chelmsford shares were a little firmer, being wanted at !/• Welcome Jacks were asked for at 6d, and subsequently 6^d could have been got, but no sellers quoted. Bunker's Hills shares had buyers at 6|d, and offers for Barrier Reefs were advanced to 6/6.
