A BRITIST PROTEST

LONDON, August 3

Mr Balfour informed the House of Commons that the Government had intimated to the Belgian Government that they considered the result of Sipido's trial a most unfortunate miscarriage of justice, and regretted that Sipido was not detained pending a medical decision in view of, the actual vedict of the court which tried him. The Belgian Government has not yetreplied.

[Sapido, who attempted to shoot the Prince of Wales in Belgium, was declared by the Court which tried him to be insane.]
