A SEVEKE ENGAGEMENT,
5000 ASHANTIS DEFEATED,
LONDON, August 3
Major Reddoes, with 100 of the Nigerian force ,and two guns, after a severe .engagement east of Dompa?si, completely routed 5000 Ashant's. The British casualties were 33 wounded, including Major Bedcioes severely, and three other officers.
