The balance-sheet of the Franklin Agricultural Society from July 1899 to July 1900, presented at the annual meetIng, showed:—Receipts: July I—Cash in Savings' Bank, £127 12/10; December 31— Interest accrued to date, £4 7/6; 190 ft— Cash donations for 1900, £44 0/6; members tickets paid for 1899, 10/; members tickets paid for 1900. £68; entrance fees for 1900 show, £55 0/9; booths, side shows, etc., £18; gate receipts for 1900 show, £113 7/6; sale of refreshments, £3 14/3; Society's ploughing match held at Drury 1899—Entrance fees received, £2 2/6; cash donations, £8 17/: total, £445 12/10.
