COROMANDEL.

An enquiry touching the cause of the fire which destroyed the furnishing: bazaar and Ironmonger's shop belonging to Mr J. H. Taylor on Tuesday was held yesterday at the Royal Mall Hotel before Capt. Swindley (Coroner). The jury returned an open verdict, the foreman intimating that the jury wished that a rider could be added complimenting' the fire brigade for the assistance rendered by them, and for their successful efforts which saved the adjoining premises from destruction, considering the poor appliances they had to work with.
