LONDON, August 1
■ Lord Eoberts reports that 1200 more Boers have surrendered to General Hunter in the east of Orange .River Colony, in the hills round Fouriesburg.
General Hunter, who is co-opera-ting with Generals Bundle and Hector Macdonald in his campaign against the raiders, expects his total .will reach 4000.
Amongst those who surrendered are Commandants Boux, Fontenel,' Deploy, Potgieters, Joubert, and Brice.
Commandant Oliver, with five guna, broke away in the direction of Harrismith.
