Some Causes of Chicken Mortality.
Lice. Sloppy food. Sour food. Hard grain after fasting. Dirty coops. : Damp coops. Unhealthy breeding stock. Polluted, sun-warmed drinking water. Not enough green food. Want of grit. Brooders either too hot or too cold. Over-crowding ii- the brooders. Insufficient ventilation of brooder. Not enough, cooked meat diet. Weakness from delayed hatching. Too much interference when chicks
are coming out. Not increasing the feed in proportion to growth of the chicks. These are a few of the chief reasons why chickens die that would otherwise live.
