NAUTICAL COURT DECISION.

GREYMOUTH, July 23,

An enquiry re the stranding of the s.s. Taupo commenced this morning before Mr. Hawkins, S.M., and Ctaptains Begnell and Molllson, Assessors. The following verdict was returned, " The acicdent was caused by the breaking of the windlass on the port side. No one was to blame. The vessel was well found in all particulars. The compressor was not used. The Court is unable to form any opinion as to the cause of the accident." Mr. Kitchingham appeared on behalf of the Harbour Board and Mr. Hannan for Captain Brophy.
