CYCLE PATHS LEAGUE.

The committee of the newly formed Cycle Paths League met at the Sports Club last evening. There was a good attendance. Mr Vaile submitted a draft of the proposed bill dealIng with t he construction of cycle paths in the city and ' suburbs. Various amendments were suggested, and the bill was referred back to the legal committee to consider these. The Roads Sub-Commitee, Messrs 'Haines, Henning, Pond and Shackelford, reported making a careful examination of the main roads suroundlng Auckland. It was decided on the recommendation of this committee to improve a portion of the. roadway extending from Kyber Pass Rd. through Remuera to Greenlane, as an experiment. The Remuera Road Board has kindly consented to supply the necessary scoria. The cost of the undertaking is being met by subscriptions, and tHe work will be proceeded with forthwith. The committee will meet again next Tuesday evening.
