Commandant De la Key, who is at the head of al.arge force, is still besieging jVlfijor - General Baden- " Powell in Kustenburg, notwithstanding the statement of a couple of days" back that General Lord Metlmen had relieved the town and dispersed the besiegers. General Hickman, who was. despatched from Pretoria, 60 miles east of Kustenburg, with a relief column, reconnoitred on the southward side, but finding De la Key's position too strong for him to assail* with the force at his disposal, returned. , -
