TE AROHA
TE AItOHA, Friday. Mr Pavitt, surveyor, has been engaged the last few weeks on the large block of land acquired by Mr Farmer, Manawaru. The quality of the laud is highly spoken of, aud ere long no doubt many settlers will be occupying it. Tho ollicers belonging to the To Aroha Mounted ULlles have received their appointments. The property belonging to the Te Arohh Rifles will.be transferred to them.
Mr Victor Hall, relieving: teacher, will arrive here immediately to till the position at Waihou until the appointment of a permanent: teacher.
The furniture aE the "Bungalow," residence of the Rev. J. Campbell, was sold by auction yesterday by Mr Pratt, Paercm. The sale was largely attended, and good prices were obtained. Bidding for the "Bungalow" rose to £400, but a reserve of f-tTO having been made the bid was not accepted.
