General Hunter has occupied Fouriesberg, near the* Basutoland border, and half-way between Bethlehem and Fieksburg. He found ■Mrs Steyn, wife of the exPresident, in the. town.

Two hundred Boers have surrendered at Ficksburg, close to' the Basutoland frontier.

P. De Wet, Free. State Commandant, and brother of Commandant Christian De Wet, has surrendered to the British at Kroonstad.
