The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s s.s. Whakatane, which left Plymouth on July 21st for Auckland direct, brings "4-10 tons of cargo for New Zealand, 3,500 tons of which are for Auckland. She has 23 lirst-class and 70 third class passengers.
