Temperature is increasing In other-parts °fWarn?ng nsTgnals for easterly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen and of last 24 hours: Easterly gales have prevailed north ot the" Themes, and Manukau, and strong easterly winds to, East Cape; also an easterly gale at G sborne since about midnight. Raln^has fallen in all parts of the country northward of Napier, Taupo, and Raglan, but weather has continued fine everywhere else, with frost in parts of the North Island and^generally hard frost in the South Island Low pressure from N.W. is about ,230 miles to N.E. of orth Cape, travelling, to about E.S.L. Low pressure from west expected on 6th will pass east of the meridian of South Cape on 7th, further south than usual.
