IRENE RETURN.
During the past year tributers in the Irene mine at Kuaotunu have won gold valued at £1772 7/7. Messrs White and party have just completed a crushing of 132 tons of ore for a return of bullion worth £354 10/9. MOANATAIARI TRIBUTERS. The various tribute parties in the Moanataiari mine during the past month crushed 49 tons of ore and 601bs of picked stone for a return of bifllion valued at £222 14/. NEW GOLCONDA. The cross leader mentioned last week has cut off the leader for some seven feet, but it is now making ag-ain and looks as well as ever. The manager intends driving upon the cross leader. IMPERIAL. The South drive upon No. 2 reef at the intermediate level is still being driven ahead, and the reef continues strong in the formation, also an excellent class of country prevails. A length of 110 feet is now opened up on the line of the reef, which maintains a well defined appearance. Fair progress is being made with the South drive at No. 2 level. At present the reef is divided into two branches, but they appear to be converging towards each other and will probably come together a short distance ahead. TAIRUA BROKEN HILLS. Mr H. 11. Adams reports that No. 4 level is now passing through a large body of quartz of an average assay value of £1 1/8 per ton, which he look. upon as an entirely new reef. It has been cut into 32ft without the olh.r wall being encountered. At No. . 'level a body of quartz 4ff wide has been dif-covered, which gave an assay of £ i 9 19/ per ton. The present month should complete the crushing plant.
