HAMILTON, this day
A young man named Richard Wilson met 'with a nasty accident yesterday. When riding a horse over a jump his stirrup leather broke, throwing him and dislocating his elbow.
A young man named Herbert Parkes was brought up from Taupiri to-day by Mr Bailey, of the Taupiri sawmill. He was cutting wood to light a fire when his axe struck a chimney, and, glancing off, severed the big toe of one foot and almost severed another. He is progressing favourably.
