GOLD RETURNS.

April gfojd returns show a decrease on the return of April in the previous year from £130,359 to £76,882. For four months of the present year the decrease is £40,546. The falling off is in Greyinouth and Dunedin, returns at the latter place dropping- from £61,750 in April, 1890, to £10,279.
For a, period of twelve months the Keep it Dark cyanide plant at Beefton treated 7550 tons' of tailing's, yielding- IGS2 ounces, value £5461. * The Alpine Extended cyanide plant at Lyell treated 9630 tons, the value of bullion recovered being £4295.
