Alhambra and Union played a drawn game on Saturday, there being no score. Kaikorai defeated Dunedin by 9 to nil. Southern (3) beat University (nil), and Zingari (3) beat Pirates (nil).
CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday
In the senior football competitions to-day, Linwood (11) beat Merivale (nil), Christchurch (3) beat Albion (nil), and Sydenham (7) beat Kaiapoi (3).

Melrose v. Wellington.—Melrose, 8. Claridge scored a try, and Spencer converted; Calnau touched down. Wellington, nil. Athletic v. Poneke. —Athletic, G. Eagle scored a try, and Hales kicked a penalty goal. Poneke, nil. Passing showers made the grounds greasy. Pcneke and Melrose are level for the championship. Oriental drew with Old Boys, each side scoring- three goints.
