It frequently happens that a 'large part of the output is kept baz/jk to : swell the next month's export. The figures for 1900 were:—Gold: Auckland, 15,95-loz, £59,689; Nelson, £T72; i Greymouth. £0142; Dunedin, lj 10,279; total, 20,3530z, value £70,882. Silver: Auckland, £2944. j The figures for April, 1809,, were:— i Gold: Auckland. £31,632; Greymouth, £37,127; Dunedin, £01750. " Silver: Auckland, £2210. The decrease of gold e/xported in April. 1000, compared' with ;IS9:D, was 12,9900z, value £53,027. ,; Silvesr increased 53460z, valued at £734. The i decrease in g-old in the first four I months of the year 190 C) was (12320z, j valued at £37,501.
