SALE OF YEARLINGS.

NAPIER, Tuesday.

The sale of 'the Te Mahang-a yearlings to-day was the most successful yet held, representatives of Auckland, West Coast ami South Island being' present. Twenty yearlings were offered, and all sold for 1.1(56 guineas, an average of over 58 guineas. The highest price was given for the Torpedo—Rivulet filly, which was: started at 100 guineas and bought by Mr T. 11. Lowry for 820 guineas, Mr J. McDonald, of Horowhenun, was a large purchaser, including the Quilt-— Maude filly, 125 guineas, and the Waterfall —Primrose gelding, 100 guineas. Mr Lowry secured the bargain of the sale in the Torpedo—Egypt ilia filly, at 90 guineas.
