KAURI GUM MARKET
AUCKLAND, Wednesday
Supplies of kauri gum bid fair to be very heavy this month, 915 tons i having1 already been sent in for March, i with still ten days to go. A strong demand is reported for g-ood grades of gum, and poor stuff is selling well, but stocks of very inferior quality are increasingl. Prices show no change this week. The Cra.igna.ir is now loading for New York. About 15 tons of gum were taken away by the Elingamite, and gum was also shipped by the Indra.mayo. Quotations are as follows: — Poor ordinary £35 to £42 Fair ordinary £45 to £50 Good ordinary £52 to £62 Superior ordinary £70 to £80 East Coast £76 up. Rescraped £ 110. to £ 120
