ELECTORAL. mo THE pt/ECTORS OF THE r.ITY OP 'A UCKLAND. LADIES & GENTLEMEN,— ■ At the time of the last General Election, when I had the honour of addressing you through the public press, I intimated my intention of placing my services at your disposal on some future occasion. It is a matter for public regret that the ' occasion has now risen through the deatn of our esteemed fellow townsman Mr Crbv/ther. Out of delicacy and respect to his name, it was not possible to intimate earlier that I would contest the seat. This I shall now do, if I find It is the general wish of the Citizens ot Auckland, and if elected should support the present Government, so long as they fulfil their present determination to do iustice to Auckland. : I am, etc., Yours sincerely, J.
