At a meeting of the Parnell Borough Council last evening a petition was read from a number of residents of Parnell, stating that they, the petitioners, had heard that there was a danger of the district being debarred from the advantages of the new electric tramways, owing to the fact that the Council would insist on the company'paying a rental. The petitioners urged the Council to forego any such claim. ... that the district may benefitby the service.
