A meeting of the general committ. tof the above Association was held c the Association's Booms on Frida afternoon. Mr J. G. A letter was received from the Wa: Jcato Farmers' Club, re auctioneer: commission, and after a brief discus 6 ion it was resolved on the motion _ Mr Dick that the Association suppoi the Waikato Agricultural Associ. tion in their endeavours to induce th auctioneers to adopt the same scale c charges as those in use in other par! of the colonj-. Some discussion ci sued as to the best site on which t hold the next year's show. On th motion of Mr A. S. Thompson, it was finally decided that the incoming executive be asked to visit the ground belonging to the Government, near the Ellerslie railway station, as well as other grounds in the neighbour-hood-and report to a future meeting. Mr T. Coates and the Secretary were appointed to represent the Executive at a meeting of delegates to be held here next week. The monthly meeting of the Mount Eden Band of Hope was held last evening. The programme was provided by Master E. Hosking, Miss A. Taylor, Mr and Mrs Hemus, Mr Crofts and Master Reg. Harrison, Mr H. Jordan, Miss A. Jackson, Miss A. Hughes, Miss M. Hughes, Mr T. W. Stanton. Rev. Dr. Hosking gave an address on "Prohibition v. Temperance." The best milk for infants and invalids to be had anywhere is Ambury, English and Oo.'s fresh pasteurised chilled milk. Mayfield Sunday school anniversary proceedings were continued on Friday night with a. very successful tea and concert. There was a crowded attendance. The three tea tables were in charge of Mrs MacNicol and Miss Dawson, Miss Binks and Miss Burnett, Mrs Warn and Miss M. Kendall. A large number of friends from a distance attended the subsequent concert, when the Rev. C. E. Beecroft acted as chairman. Songs were sung by Miss Binks, Miss 11. Kendall, Miss Mabel and Nellie Freem, Mr Hayman, and the following little girls: Vera Willcocks, Ethel Grade, Maggie Geddes, and Elsie Read. Recitations were given by the Misses Hilda Wheeler, Connie Read, and Ethel Grade, Miss M. Crooks, and Mr Monstedt, violin solo by Mr E. Horton, harmonium solo, by Miss Horton; reading by Mr Warn, and choruses by a large choir, under the conductorship of Mr MacNicol. Short addresses were given by the Rev. C. E. Beecroft, Messrs Adams and Burr (Northcote),' T. B. Smith and others.
