Trooper Hensman, a West Australian, wounded at Slingersfontein last month, has died of his wounds.
The Loan Bill was read a second time by 2GS to 24. Sir William Harconrt endorsed the measure.
A Blue Book has been issued deal-
ing Avith the seizure of the German steamer Bvmdsrath, at Delagoa Bay. Lord Salisbury blamed Count Hatzfeldt's abruptness and unfounded imputations. He. instanced the British vessels Springbok and Peterhoff. seized bj- America in 1563, as precedents.
SYDNEY, March 14.
The Government has proclaimed St. Patrick's Day a public holiday, as a tribute to the gallantry of the Irish liegiments in the Transvaal.
