FIRE AT PALMERSTON.
DUNEDIN, March 1A fire broke out in the Arcade Blo<* at Palmerston. yesterday afternoon, when the business places of Messrs Pearson (confectioner, where the We originated), Lawson (photograpkety Gwynne (stationer), Findlay (solicitor), and McEitchie (dressmaker) were burnt down. The insurances are:—Pearson (baker), stock and furniture, £350 in . the National;; Gwynne, building, £125, stock: £3005 both in the Standard; Findlay's effects (nearly all saved), £15.0 in the Nation-; al.
