During' the past month business has I been steady in the kauri yum market. there being a strong demand for all better grades, while medium and poorer qualities also moved oft! more freely. .Prices have been hiiiy maintained throughout the month, in some eases higher rates than average quotations have been paid in order to secure parcels, as bettor grades of gum have been extremely scarce. .Exports for the month are as follows:—For Xew York, per Clan Maeleod. .">!)!) tuns; per Waimate, 17.". tons; for London, per El In gum He, -!■ tons; per Wainmte. 211 tons; per Maravoa, 56 tons: per Waihora, i:s tons: total, IO.'S tons. .Supplies from mail to mail are about 1061 tons. Quotations are as follows: — Poor ordinary £35 to £42 Fair ordinary £43 Io £50 Good ordinary £- r >- to £02 Superior ordinary £TO to £80 East Coast £ TC> np. , Rescraped £110 to £ 120
