NORTHERN S.S. CO.'S MOVEMENTS.
Wednesday: Muritai for Waiheke, 9.00 a.m, and returns about 5 p.m.; Muritai for Great Barrier, 10 p.m.; Chelmsford, from Whangarei; Wellington, for Whangarei, 10.30 p.m.
' The dredger Manchester left for Lyttelton this morning. H.M.s. Tauranga arrived at Wellington from Lyttelton this morning. The barque Kathleen Hilda left Newcastle yesterday for Auckland. The s.s. Omapere- left for East Coast ports and Wellington last evening. The Tyser s.s. Star of England has left London for way ports and Auckland. The s.s. Indramayo began the discharge of her cargo from London this morning. The brigantine Aratapu left Dunedin on Friday evening last for Auckland With a cargo of grain. The brigantine Vision came out of dock to-day after overhaul, and berthed at the "breastwork to.complete. Mr James Basire, second engineer of the s.s. Mararoa, has been appointed chief engineer of the s.s. Taviuni. The departure of the Ovalau for Rarotonga and Tahiti has been postponed until after the arrival of the Frisco mail. The s.s. Kuraara left Capetown for Auckland on sth inst., and is. due here about April 4, to the agency of Messrs T. and S. Morrin, Limited. The Tyser s.s. Indraghiri berthed at the Queen-street Wharf this morning, and commenced the discharge of her cargo. She leaves for the South to-morrow or- on Friday. ' . ■-.
