A contest takes place in Eden. This district includes Devonport, North"cote, Avondale, New Lynn, Mount Boakiii, Arch Hill, and Lake Takapanta. The following- "ticket"' has been nominated: —Messrs M. Niccol, E. W. Alison, J. Bollard, R. 11. Duder, and G. L. Peacocke. MANUKAU; The Returning Officer. (Mr Sidney Brookfiled) has received the following nominations for the five seats on the Manukau Licensing Committee:— Samuel Bradley, Daniel Neilsbn, Win. Henry Gavin, Robert Hall, Enoch Burden, and John Kowe. No temperance "ticket" has been nominated. The Manukau district includes Onehunga, Ellerslie, Panmure, and One Tree Hill.
