PAEROA, this day. OHINEMURI LICENSING COM-
MITTEE,
The quarterly meeting of the above wns held last, evening. Present: Mr Bush, S.M.,..chairman, and,. Messrs Gavin, ' McClelland, Campbell, and Dickey. Transfers of licenses were granted from T.'Lawless, Royal, Mail Hotel, Paeroa, to S. F. Atkins;, from Mrs Tanner, Waihi Hotel, to T. Lawless: and from M. Coulson, Hauraki Hotel, Waitekauri, to S. Draffin.; A license was granted to George Archer for the Golden Cross Hotel. An application by J. Houlihan for a licensa for an hotel-at Whangaihata was refused as the order-in-council had not been received. Leave to adjourn the application to the next meeting \yas refused;-"as-the chairman stated there was no power to adjourn. Messrs Clendon and Mueller appeared for the applicant. The police reports were read and were of a favourable nature.
