The Convention resumed its sit-, tings at 10 o'clock this morning, the president, Mrs Schnackenberg, in the chair. Correspondence.—A letter was read from Lady Henry Somerset, sending good wishes. The New Zealand Alliance sent its greetings as also clLi Hamilton and Waihi. White Ribbon. —The report and balance sheet of the " White Eibbon," the organ of the Union, was read and adopted. The Belief of Kimbefley. — The relief of Kimberley was announced at this stage amidst applause. The.as-' sernbly then stood and sang the " Doxology." I Sympathy. — Letters of sympathy and encouragement were ordered t<} be sent to Mrs MeKaj-, Port Elizabeth, Cape Colony, president of the Gape> Union, and to Mrs Bodle, Auckland, ; who is doing good work in providing comforts for the troops at the front. 1 A resolution was then passed thai; : the various Unions be informed that with Mrs Bodle's permission all work-' forwarded to her would be sent asv " White Eibbon " work to the Cape. M ■ Plans of Work.—Miss Power read an" interesting paper on plans of work, which started an interesting discus-1: si on.
