WELLINGTON, this day.

At the sitting of the Council of the Congregational Union the Eev. P. Warner, of Auckland, was re-elected secretary. A paper, entitled "To Proclaim the Kingdom of God," wsis read by -Mr Powlds, M.H.E., of Auckland. The reading was very impressive, and was listened to with close attention. The paper showed signs of careful study of the question treated.
