PRETORIOUS RELEASED.
CAPETOWN, February 4
Lord.Roberts wrote to General Joubert proffering. to release Commandant Pretorious, who was wounded and captured' at Elands Laagte. His leg was subsequently ■ amputated. Lord Roberts describes him as.a brave soldier. Commandant Pretoricras' wife, _m thanking-Lord Roberts,- asked that her husband should be sent to Magersi'ontein.
