The French press is exultant over the Yellow Book, just published by t'ho French Government, snowing that Britain has abandoned the protest against the extension of the French territorial concession •at Shanghai, which lasr, year gave rise to vigorous protests on behalf of the British, American, and German Governments, owing to erron,eous information furnished by the British and American Consuls at Shanghai in regard to the matter. The press claims that the result was :i victory for M. Delcasse, the French Minister for Foreign Affairs.
