An excellent programme has been arranged by Mr E. R. Davis for a concert to be held in aid of the " More Men Fund " in the Newmarket Hall on Wednesday night. Some of the best local talent have offered their services, including Mr Archdale Tayler, who will sing " The Absent-Minded Beggar," Messrs Coates, Kent, Chambers, •and Mesdames Ernest. Davis and. Coates. "Yo>ng Lady: "I can only be a sister to you-^-no more." He: "Thanks; that is very good of you. Have you spoken to your mother of it yet?" Young Lady: "Of what?" He: "My adoption."
