THE GOVERNOR.
The following pigeongram was received last evening from Captain Alexander, private secretary to Kis Excellency. The Governor desires id. thank the Great Barrier Pigeongram Agency (Picton-streef) for the transfer of pigeons. Please inform Press that the vice-regal party visited Whang'uroa, on Saturday, and went over Lane and Brown's shipbuilding yards, where two vessels are now being built! Called into Russell in the evening, and arrived at Great Barrier Island on Sunday morning. An attempt was made to land at Mokohinau Lighthouse; but the southerly wind was too strong. Weather fine. The party proceed tonight to Tauranga- Last Thursday His Excellency drove-from Kawakawa to Pakaraka, lunched with Mr Alger Williams, and visited his various g-orse farms, driving thence to Iverikeri and joining the Tutanekai. Views not clear owing to extensive bush fires in all directions.

TAURANGA, this day. -The s.s. Tutanek'ai, with His Excellency the Governor, arrived, here at 10 a.m. to-day. The Governor will remain here till Wednesday, and then proceed to the Bay of Islands and other Northern ports.
