He had a long interview here with Dr. McGregor, Inspector of Hospitals and Lunatic Asylums for New Zealand, It is understood that Dr. Hare will make a report to his Government on the. results of his tour. THE FRENCH WARSHIP. Capt, Thibault, of the French warship Eure, paid a return visit to the Hoii. Hall-Jones and Hon. J. Carroll on Saturday. Lieut.-Commander Joyce, son of the late Mr John Joyce, M.H.1?., who has been appointed staff officer to Col. Penton, vice Capt. Smith, who accompanied the Hotchkiss Battery to South Africa, commenced his duties today.
