Sale now on—D.S.C.—(Ad.) —Captain Subritzky, of the schooner Greyhound, yesterday reported to the i police that he had picked up a boat between Rangitoto and Brown's Is- j land. The boat was about threeparts full of water. A pair of sculls were under the thwarts, and there were no rowlocks in the boat. A couple of hats were seen at some distance from the boat. It is supposed that she had drifted from one of the beaches. The boat has three seats, and is about 14ft long by 3ft in bsain. j She is painted white, and light yeljbw inside, with brown round the:\t6p. ; On the stern is the name "W. H. frpx*?' while the rowlock blocks are marked "C. J. Brook." There was no rudder. No owner turned up for the boat today. Mr H. J. Thomas, who won the mile bicycle handicap at the Whangarel AtJiletic and Cycling Club's Sports on Anniversary Day, on a Skeates machine, was presented by Messrs Bkeates and Bockaert with a pair of racing wheels, valued at £6, in recognition of lire good performance, . Mr P. Brewster will deliver a farewell address at St. George's Hall this evening.
