While a memorial service to French soldiers was being held at the Cathedral at Nimes Father Valney, the preacher, made reference to the humiliation cast upon France by the Fushodn incident, and Britain's conduct on that occasion. Abbe Fremont interrupted the preacher and openly protested against his statements. •
