KAURI GUM MARKET
Auckland, Wednesday
This market shows no change as fains prices are concerned, and'there is a fairly good demand for all grades of gum with the exception of very poor quality. Buyers are not, however, eager to operate as at the present time there is no boat loading for New York direct. Poor quality Last Coast is remaining unsold, as buyers refuse to recognise it as East Coast, and in some instances diggers have had to bring the gum up to town to try and selL it. Supplies of gum o. all grades for the ten days of December total 310 tons.
Prices are as follows: — Poor ordinary ....£35 to £42 Pair ordinary £45 to £50 Good ordinary £52 to £63 Superior ordinary £70 to £80 East Coast £7G "PRescraped ..£llO to £120
