TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS.
The ministerial session resumed this 1 morning. After devotional exercises, 1 the record of the previous session was i read by the secretary and confirmed by the Synod. 'The Pastoral Resolutions were read by the Rev. S. Griffith, and a conversation took place on the work of God iv i the circular. Several testimonies were ; borne to the fact that God was working among our people. Although there has been no great revivals there | was evidence that conversions were 'taking place. Special stress was laid ion the fact that there was an evident : quickening of the conscience of the J members of our Church. The feeling ! was hopeful that in the near future j there would be more visible results of 1 the work now being done. The Rev. C. C. Harrison's motion re !the visit of Rev. Thos. Waugh. conIn exional evangelist of the British Coni ference, was seconded by the Rev. A. i Mitchell and carried unanimously by . the synod. j On the motion of the Rev. J. IT. Simi monds. seconded by the Rev. W. J. j Williams, the Synod resolved to recommend that .Mr Robert I hidden, theological student at Three Kings, bo received on probation and employed in I the Maori work. j An interesting discussion took place ! on the relation of the young people to | the Church, but no resolution was carj ried.
