Wind: Gaiel_ tween north-east and north and wek northward of Blenheim and.Cape Farewell; gale between nprth-east.and east and south- thence to Oamaru ant Qtieenstowh after 12 hours; strong .north-west to south-west winds elsewhere. Barometer: Fall everywhere. Sea: Heavy on all Western Coast, and on East Coast southward of Napier. Tides: High on all Western Coast, and on East Coast south of Napier; moderate else- " Raiii is to be expected generally. Synopsis Of the last 4S hours: Northward of Thames and Manukau there was a slight Increase of pressure during Saturday afternoon, but it has fallen slowly since Sundaj afternoon, and has continued to fall steadily everywhere else. Easterly gales, with rain, continued northward of Auckland until Sunday about noon, but there have been strong northerly winds southward of Napier Snd New Plymouth. Raiu has fallen in the North Island generally, and on the West Coast of the South Island. The low pressure from N.W. of Saturday has decreased very greatly in energy, and is eastward of Kail-dura. There is also low pressure, decreasing in energy, N.W. of New Plymouth, and. travelling to S.E. Low pressure from the west Is near the meridian of South Cape, travelling eastward.
