News from New Guinea states that; a serious tribal war Has broken,out; in tihe Kiriwina district. It arose!; through the chief, Taolu, stealing nfiv tive women, and causing the death of v an under-chief by sorcery. The nay tives, who rose in revolt,1 for a 1 diig< time abjectly crawled to Enamakala,;, a, powerful chief, whom they 'have nowdriven from his stronghold, burning eleven villages. ■
